Obituary
Andrew Mathis Wardlaw Sr. was born on June 12, 1939 in Greenville, SC to the late Booker T. and Blanche Parker Wardlaw. He passed on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at his home in Greenville, SC. He was 82 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty years Dollie Byrd Wardlaw.
Andrew accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Greenville County schools and retired from JP Stevens Monaghan Plant in Greenville, SC.
Andrew is survived by two sons, David Byrd of Greenville, SC and Andrew (Judy) Wardlaw Jr. of Simpsonville, SC; two daughters, Blanche Rogers of Indianapolis IN. and LaBarbara (Talmadge) Bronson of Aston, PA; one sister, Margaret Mitchell of Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his brothers, Booker T “Pete” Wardlaw Jr, Charles Wardlaw, Ulysses Wardlaw, James Wardlaw and Hughland Wardlaw and his sisters Ruth Wardlaw and Ruby Wardlaw.
