Arthur Mcdorn Williams was born in McCormick County, SC on May 1, 1944. He was the son of the late Clyde and Josie Mae Hill Williams and husband of Daisy Williams. Arthur departed this life at his home on February 8, 2026 at age 81.

Arthur attended McCormick County Schools and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Plum Branch, SC. He worked in logging before retirement and enjoyed gardening and working with his hands.

Arthur’s memories will be cherished by his brothers, Henry Williams (Ammie Sue), Marvin (Judy) Williams and Thomas Williams (Davonna) all of McCormick, SC, Joe C. Williams (Faye) of Troy, SC, Marion Williams and Eugene Williams (Dorothy) both of Edgefield, SC; a niece raised in the home with him, Gloria Jennings four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his son, Arthur Williams, Jr. brothers, Floyd Williams, Lloyd Williams and Willie Williams and his sister, Jessie Mae Harrison.
