Barbara Jean Lane was born on November 20, 1950 in Greenwood, SC. She was a daughter of the late Benjamin Lane and Leola Kennedy Lane. Barbara passed at her home in McCormick, SC on October 29, 2020 at the age of 69. She attended McCormick County Schools. She enjoyed fishing and cooking for her family.

Memories of Barbara will be cherished by her sisters, Gail (Robert) Middleton of McCormick, SC, Lillie Mae (Barry Chappell) Wakefield of Greenwood, SC, Dearlee (Willie) Devette and Jacqueline Lane both of Abbeville, SC and her brothers, Alfred (Effie) Lane of Greenwood, SC, Frank (Marshal) Kennedy and Airl (Marie) Lane both of Reading, PA, seven nieces and eighteen nephews.
