Bertha “Lisa” Lee Moore Whitfield was born on June 19, 1969 in Lincolnton, GA. She was the wife of Robbie Whitfield and daughter of Emma Gilchrist and the late Edward Gilchrist. Lisa passed on June 15, 2023. She was 53 years old.

Lisa was a member of Tranquil A.M.E. Church in Bradley, SC. She was a 1989 graduate of McCormick High School and worked as a CNA for McCormick Post Acute Care.

In addition to her father, Lisa was preceded in death by a daughter Terita Brown and her grandmother, Bertha L. Gilchrist.

Lisa’s memories will be cherished by her husband Robbie Whitfield of the home; daughters, LaCourtney Moss and Alexandria Moore both of McCormick, SC; a son, Jeremiah Williams of McCormick, SC and  her mother, Emma Gilchrist of McCormick, SC; Five sisters, Connie Dunlap (Ulysses) and Tina Abney (Rev. Mark Abney) both of Greenwood, SC, Jean Cunningham (Ray) and Diane Gilchrist both of McCormick, SC and Denise Gassama (Duran) of Fort Washington, MD; five brothers, Edward Gilchrist, Jr. (Linda) of Anderson, SC, Mike Gilchrist (CeCe) and Rick Gilchrist (LaTisia) both of Greenwood, SC, Brian Gilchrist of Augusta, GA and Charlie McClendon (Shirley) of Gray Court, SC; a grandson, Drayden Ethridge and a host of other relatives and friends.
