Beulah Mae (Lanham) Gilchrist

Mother Beulah Mae Lanham Gilchrist was born on May 8, 1925 in McCormick, SC. She was the widow of Miledge Gilchrist Sr. and daughter of the late Augustus J. and Gertrude Bronson Lanham. Mother Gilchrist heard her Heavenly Fathers voice on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was 98 years old.

Mother Gilchrist accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Bethlehem Church of God Holiness in McCormick, SC. She attended McCormick County Schools. She was a homemaker and farmer.  

In addition to her husband and parents, Mother Gilchrist was preceded in death by two sons, Orion “Jay” Gilchrist and Beauford Gilchrist, brothers, Joseph “Chig” Lanham, Orian Lanham, Augustus Lanham and Enoch Lanham and her sisters, Lula Prince and Rosada Lanham.

Mother Gilchrist’s memories will be cherished by her sons, Miledge Gilchrist Jr. (Kendra) of  Greenwood, SC, Augustus Gilchrist(Donna) of Clinton MD, John Willie Gilchrist (Jessie) and Calvin Gilchrist (Beverly) both of  Plum Branch, SC, Bernard Gilchrist of Greenville, SC and Robert Gilchrist and Marvin Gilchrist both of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Janie Lou Kelly (Hercules) and Juliana Wardlaw (Lawrence) both of McCormick, SC, Glenda Gilchrist of Greenville, SC, a sister, Hattie Mae Holloway of Fort Washington DC, additional children raised in the home, Queen Easter Lanham, Raymond Lanham (Gene), Eddie Lee Lanham (Sonny) and Willie Lanham, 17 grandchildren, 34  great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
