Carl Turner was born on April 21, 1952 in McCormick, SC to the late James and Beatrice Wideman Turner. He departed this life on Thursday, January 11, 2024 in Greenwood, SC. He was 71 years old. Carl was a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E Church in McCormick, SC. He was a 1971 graduate of McCormick High School where he excelled in football. He retired from Flour Daniel and loved his Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by four brothers; Joel Turner, James Turner, Norris Turner and Henry Wideman and two sisters; Sandra T. Durant and Sharon Turner. Carl’s memories will be cherished by his brother, John “JC” Turner of Abbeville, SC his sister Mary Turner Gantt of Greenwood, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
