Charles Edward Leverett

Mr. Charles Edward Leverett was born on August 18, 1945 in Bainbridge, GA to the late Garous Leverett and Onie Dell Leverett. On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, Charles made the transition from this life into the presence of God’s domain. He was 78 years old.

Charles affiliated himself with Springfield A.M.E. Church in McCormick, SC. He attended the public schools of Lincoln County Georgia and worked in textiles for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching his favorite shows such as, westerns, The 700 Club, Billy Graham and Fredrick Price Ministries. His other hobbies included, listening to the oldies and playing his numbers.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Freeman and Josephine Harper; two brothers, Willie Walter Leverett and Wilmer Leverett.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Lue Ellen Leverett of the home; two daughters, Edwina Austin (Rev. Wright “Von”) and Cheryl Leverett-Wright (Keith) both of Greenwood, SC; four sisters, Faye Crawford- Williams (Joe C.) of Troy, SC, Doris Pollard (Robert) of Evans, GA, Delaine Bell of McCormick, SC and Carolyn Bussey of Lincolnton, GA; two brothers, Jerry Leverett (Dorothy) of Lincolnton, GA and Racie Leverett (Maxine) of Atlanta, GA; brother in law, Robert Harper Sr; sister in laws, Kasandra Harper (caregiver), Vickie Leverett, Vickie Mursier, Beulah Mursier and Rebecca Mursier; five grandchildren  and a host of other relatives and friends.
