Mr. Charlie Jennings, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC. Born to the late George Jennings and Ella Sibert Jennings, he was a devoted husband, father, and friend who touched many lives with his kindness and dedication.

Charlie was a faithful member and trustee of Shiloh AME

Church in McCormick, SC, where he served diligently until his health declined. He worked for Neptune / Schlumberger for 35 years before retiring to enjoy the things he loved most - gardening, fishing, hunting and repairing equipment. Whether working on lawn mowers or washing machines, Charlie found joy in staying active and lending a helping hand.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Georgia Bowie Jennings; one daughter, Elaine Jesse) Williams of Abbeville SC; two sons, Patrick (Tammie) Jennings of Greenwood, SC and Conray Jennings of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Pauline Scott of Brooklyn, NY and one brother, William (Priscilla) Jennings of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Casmine Horne, Travease Bowie, Teva Santiago of Atlanta, GA; Jamaris Sibert, Janacia Sibert, Cheronda Bowie, Jaleah Bacote, and Jalynn Bacote, all of Greenwood, SC; a special nephew, Alonzo Harrison of Plum Branch, SC and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charlie was preceded in death by one son, Larry Bowie; two brothers, George Jennings and Robert Lee Jennings; and three sisters, Addie Mae Harrison, Mattie Smith, and Lille Clark.

His life was a testament to hard work, faith, and love for family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
