Thomas “Tom” Edward Musier, husband of Verda Haskell Musier, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC.

Tom was born on April 29, 1944, in Washington, DC to the late Luther Musier and Annie M. Cunningham Musier. He was reared in the home of his grandparents, the late Johnnie and Bertha Cunningham.

He was educated in the public schools of McCormick. Tom joined the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at an early age and served as Gospel Chorus President for 18 years. He also served on the Food Pantry Committee, member of the Mt. Moriah Mass Choir, Trustee and Deacon. He also served as “grill master” for the church cookouts until his health declined.

His employment included approximately 20 years with Milliken-McCormick Plant and 16 years at Professional Medical Products, Greenwood SC , retiring in 2009.

He was the owner of Musier’s Electrical, where he always vowed to give good service at a price that anyone could afford.  His work associates included Eddie Gilchrist, Jonathan Tolbert, Leroy Kelly, Trevor Sullivan, and William Stevens.

Tom was a people person; he never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He may not remember your name, but he could hold a conversation with you for hours.

In addition to his Parents/Grandparents, he was also preceded in death by his Stepmother Virginia Musier, brothers Luther Musier,  Jr, William Musier, Robert Settles, Johnny Musier and Alfred Musier.

Those left to cherish his precious memories: his wife of 51 years Verda H. Musier, daughter Cheryl Sibert; Sons Darryl Musier and Eric Musier. Grandchildren; Aerielle Sibert, Jashun Musier and Tahj Musier. Sisters: Gloria (Nolan) Lewis, Vera Biggs, Angelnett (Alex) Bowman. Brothers: Grady Musier, Levon (Mary) Musier, Dale (Sherry) Musier and Dudley Musier. Aunts: Bertha Cartledge, Verdell Samuels, and Bernice Cunningham. Sister-in-law Carrie L. Freeman; Brothers-in-law: Curtis (Margaret) Haskell, Roosevelt Haskell, Rev. Robert (Varrie) Haskell and Rev. Willie Haskell.  Adopted daughters: Olivette Freeman, Barbara Sanders, Cynthia Conway, and Trivia Sharpe along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
