Deacon Willie Morgan, widower of Doris Moss Morgan was born on April 24, 1946 in Edgefield County, SC. He was the son of the late Charlie Morgan and Ollie Mae Settles Morgan. He departed this life on May 24, 2024. He was 78 years old.
Deacon Morgan was a member of Liberty Spring Baptist Church in McCormick, SC. He attended McCormick County Schools and worked for Greenwood Mills before retirement. He enjoyed visiting the sick, sharing the gospel, fishing and spending time with family.
Deacon Morgan’s memories will be cherished by his two sons, Willie Morgan Jr. of Hodges, SC and Travis Morgan of Greenwood, SC; five brothers, Leroy Morgan and Joe A. Morgan (Lucile) both of Greenwood, SC, John A. Morgan (Mary) of McCormick, SC, Willie “Bill” Dansby (Jannie) of Washington, DC and Chris “Woody” Dansby (Gladys) of Washington, DC ; Three sisters, Annie R. Holleman and Ola M. Dansby both of Atlanta, GA and Annie M. Gains of Washington, DC; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
