Detrice “DeDe ” Stilley Suber, 56, of McCormick, SC, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on September 3, 2025 in Washington, NC. She was born on July 21, 1969, in Brooklyn, NY. She was the widow of Eugene Suber and daughter of the late Chester and Barbara Harris Stilley. Detrice was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother whose strength, compassion, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. She attended school in New York City and built a life centered on family, faith, and resilience. Detrice is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Barbara Stilley of Greenwood, SC, Beatrice Stilley of Washington, NC and Raynasia Stilley of McCormick, SC. Her legacy lives on through her 20 beloved grandchildren, Xavier Davenport, Ja 'leyha Morgon, Dy ' Leyhja Norman, Di' Montie Singletary, E' monie Norman, ja ' Quavion Holloway, Christopher Ja ' bless Holloway, Ja 'Shara Gunter, Ja 'loya Gunter, Zion Stilley, Zi' mar Stilley, De 'Asia Grimes, De 'Shawn Grimes, Jaxson Moore, KeYontae Stilley, KeAvontae Stilley, Derek Cooper jr, Aniya Gray, Korbin Bell and Keyonni Spencer; her sisters, Patricia Ferdinand of McCormick, SC, Shelly Stilley of Newburn, NC and Lotia Stilley of NY; brother, Herbert Stilley of Newburn, NC; nieces, Christeen Martin of Greenwood, SC, Marie Ferdinand of McCormick, SC and Andrea Ferdinand of the United Kingdom; nephew, Milton Stilley of Staten Island, NY and her dear cousin, Tanya Harris of McCormick, SC who was like a sister to her. She was blessed with a large and loving extended family, including five aunts, Doris Jenkins and Louise Brown of Washington, NC, and Julia Harris, Daisy Gilbert, and Elsie Turman, all of McCormick, SC. Her memories will be cherished by all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband and parents, Detrice was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl Donnell Stilley, James Stilley, Joel Harris and Clayton Stilley, and her sister, Selena Elaine Jordan.
