Elizabeth Wright was born on May 14, 1946 in McCormick, SC. She was  a daughter of the late James O. and Jannie Bell Norman Thomas. God called Elizabeth home on June 22, 2021 at age 75.

Elizabeth attended McCormick County Schools and was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Troy, SC.  She was a retired machine operator and enjoyed  cooking and baking for her family.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by three brothers; Willie Thomas, James Thomas Jr and Andrew Thomas and two sisters; Mary Drennon and Ella Mae Durant.

Elizabeth's memory will be cherished by her husband of 59 years, Cecil Wright Sr, her sons; Cecil (Sharon) Wright Jr of Plum Branch, SC, Jeffery (Tonya) Wright of Greenwood, SC and Wayne (Kendra) Wright of Lincolnton, GA, her daughters; Penny (Ronnie) Morton and LaQuanda D. (Marcello) both of McCormick, SC, her brothers; William (Linda) Thomas of Greenwood, SC and Larry Wideman of Greenville, SC, her sisters, Ethel Lee Wright and Mary (Willie) Durant both of McCormick, SC and Dinnah (Wallace) Lewis of Greenwood, SC, fourteen grandchildren,  twenty-six great-grandchildren and a special niece, Eula Payton
