Emma Blair

Mrs. Emma Lucille Blair was born in Greenwood County, SC on April 18, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Willie Mae Jones Austin. She departed this life into the arms of Jesus on February 22, 2026. She was 69 years old.

Emma was preceded in death by her daughter, Tanesha Nicole Blair, her brothers, James W. Austin, Samuel Austin, Willie S. Austin and Timothy L. Austin.

Emma was a member of Living Word Tabernacle of Faith in Greenwood, SC where she served as a youth teacher. She graduated from Greenwood High School and earned her CNA Certificate from Piedmont Technical College. She worked in textiles and as a CNA before retirement. She enjoyed baking and crossword puzzles.

Emma is survived by her husband, Robert W. Blair, Sr. of the home; son, Robert Blair, Jr. (Fiancé Nicole) of Greenwood, SC; daughter, LaShanda Blair of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Kemauri Blair, Melonie Blair, Amylah Blair and Maziah Blair; sisters, Gladys Gilchrist( John) and Alice Smith both of McCormick, SC, Annie Austin of Promised Land, SC, and Betty Foggie of Laurens, SC; brothers, Robert Austin (Sharon) of Newport News, VA, Wright Austin (Jeanette) and Charles Austin both of Promised Land, SC and Jerry Austin of Glendale, AZ; goddaughters, Liquinita Rutledge (Dennis) and Alexis Tabb both of McCormick, SC, Tiffany Moss of Greenwood, SC and Alysha Volious (Victor) of Charlotte, NC; godson, Antavious Gilchrist and a host of other relatives and friends.
