Mrs. Emma “Honey” Cunningham Robertson of 993 Harmony Road, Plum Branch, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on October 31, 2020. She was born in McCormick, South Carolina, on August 23, 1930, to the late Johnny and Bertha Cunningham. She was educated in McCormick County schools. Emma was joined in holy matrimony to the late Floyd Robertson; into this union, seven children were born. At an early age, she joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, in Plum Branch, South Carolina. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Gospel Chorus and Mount Moriah Court #31 Heroines of Jericho. Her love and affection will always be remembered and admired by the young and old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Robertson; three sons, Willie Floyd Robertson, Thales Robertson, and Lorenzo Robertson; one grandson, Anthony Davis; her brothers, Charlie, Arthur, Eugene, and William Cunningham; and sisters, Annie Mae Mursier, Louise Talbert, and Cora Jerkins. She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Ella Mae Harper and Gail R. Moton, both of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Brenda (Issac) Oppong-Boateng of Parlin, NJ; one son, Benjamin (Jameena) Robertson of Willington, South Carolina; one grandson reared in the home, Chris Harper; two daughters-in-law, Dorothy A. Robertson of Greenwood, South Carolina and Deloise Robertson of Plum Branch, South Carolina; two sisters, Bertha Cartledge of Plum Branch, South Carolina, and Verdella Samuels of Bowie, Maryland; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
