Mr. Ernest Lee Hudson was born in Aiken County, SC on April 10, 1930 to the late Tom Hudson and Sara Fuller. He was preceded in death by his wife,  Ethel Lee Hudson. Ernest departed this life on June 14, 2024 in McCormick, SC. He was 94 years old.

Ernest was a member of Zion Chapel A. M. E Church in McCormick, SC. He attended  McCormick, County Schools and worked as a painter and farmer.  Ernest was a loving and caring person who loved his family dearly. He gave each of his grandchildren a nickname. He loved to talk and tell jokes. He knew everyone and never met a stranger. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and playing the guitar. He played  guitar and drums for the Abraham Brothers and the Flying Clouds of Plum Branch, SC.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ernest was preceded in death by a son, Danny Hudson; two brothers, Charlie Hudson and Roscoe Hudson and two sisters, Dora Hudson and Thelma Murray..

Ernest’s memories will be cherished by his two daughters; Jannie (Harold) Stevens of Plum Branch, SC and Lizzie Hudson of North Augusta, SC; three sons, Johnny (Debbie) Hudson of McCormick, SC, Franklin (Meisha) Hudson of Evans, GA, and Charlie Hudson of Johnston, SC; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
