Ethel Lee (Hughey) Lomax

Ethel  Lee Hughey- Lomax, 81, of McCormick SC, widow of  William Wallace Lomax, passed  peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Petra Health and Rehabilitation in McCormick, SC. She was born on May 24, 1933 in Abbeville, SC to the late James Hughey Sr. and the late Mattie Lou Jones - Hughey.  Ethel was a member of St. Peter AME Church in Abbeville, SC, She graduated from Abbeville High School and retired from Bibbs Manufacturing in Abbeville, SC .

In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was preceded in death by a son, William Wallace Lomax Jr, a brother, James Hughey Jr. and two sisters, Annie Bell Forkner and Annie Mae Elmore

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Willie Wade (Pauline) Lomax of McCormick, SC, Three sisters; Mary E. Leech of Calhoun Falls, SC, Mattie (James) Edmond and Eva (Robert) Oliver both of Greenville, SC, a dedicated granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Brown of Willington, SC, two grandsons; Kevin O'Neal Bryant of Calhoun Falls, SC and Laquentin Smith of Simpsonville, SC, Ten-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
