Geneva Jones Stevens was born on March 22, 1941 in Edgefield County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Tommie Lee and Frances Settles Jones. On May 4, 1963 Geneva married her love, the late Dea. Robert Lee Stevens. They were blessed with over 50 years of marriage. Geneva entered into eternal peace on January 23, 2023. She was 81 years old. Geneva was member of Liberty Spring Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC where she served as a Missionary, member of the Senior Choir and a Sunday school teacher. She attended Edgefield County Colored School and worked in textiles and food service before retirement. Geneva’s memories will be cherished by her son, Quincy L. Stevens of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Berlinda Stevens Prince of Plum Branch, SC and Michelle Simpkins of Aiken, SC; two sisters, Mary Moton (Willie) of Edgefield, SC and Alice Vaughn of Augusta, GA; grandson, Jordan Simpkins; sister-in-law’s, Julia Gilchrist, Louise Landrum, Rosa Freeman, Cornelia Freeman (Curtis), Hattie Stevens, Suzannah Freeman (Eddie), Geneva W. Jones, Pearine Stevens, Janie M. Stevens and Effie L, Stevens; brother-in-law's, Grant Stevens, Willie Stevens, Milton Stevens Sr. (Willie Lee), Reggie Stevens (Deborah) and Joseph Stevens; devoted and loving caregivers, Dorothy L. Cunningham, Johnnie M. Warren, LoLeitha T. Brown and Elizabeth Bennett and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Geneva was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Stevens; brothers, Tommy Lee Jones Jr., John David Jones, James Earl Jones and a sister, Frances Lee Jones.
