George Talbert, of Charlotte, NC, husband of Mary Lee Talbert, died on September 19, 2019.  He was born in McCormick County, March 9, 1959.  He was the son of the late O.C. Talbert and the late Essie Mae Talbert. He was a graduate of McCormick High School. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of McCormick. He was preceded in death by two brothers, O.C. Talbert, Jr and Willie (Bo) Talbert.  He was a former employee of Milliken.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Alfonso Prince of Greenwood, SC; two daughters, Melissa Talbert of McCormick  SC and  Rosalyn (Kendrick) Kelly of Blythe, GA.; three sisters Annette Dorn, Essie T. (Gary) Jones and Judell (OW) Jennings all of McCormick, SC; one brother, Floyd (Buck) Talbert of McCormick, SC; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services are 1pm Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Andrew Wardlaw Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church cemetery.
