On Friday, November 29, 2019 God picked one of his beloved flowers from his garden. Gertrude Searles was born on September 17, 1953 in McCormick, SC to the late Henry Morgan and Mary Perrin Searles. Gertrude was preceded in death by three siblings, Claude Searles, Elizabeth Hackett and Freda Parks, and a daughter in law, Alicia Searles.

She was employed by Talmage Manufacturing for over 20 years. She later became employed with McCormick Transit and Burton Center until her health declined. Gertrude was not a stranger to anyone she met. Gertrude was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed help.
