On April, 03, 2026, Ida Frances Cunningham peacefully departed this life in McCormick, SC. She was 98 years old. Ida was born in McCormick County, SC on February 26, 1928 to the late Dock Samuel Harper and Janie Murry Harper. She was the widow of Ben Aquila Cunningham.
Ida was educated in the McCormick County Public School System. She was a member of True Vine Progressive Holiness Church in McCormick, SC where she served as the mother of the church. She worked in private homes and textiles before retirement.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ida was preceded in death by three sons, Albert Bishop, Lawrence Arnette and General Arnette; sisters, Fanny Gilliam, Kitty Jackson, Sarah Bishop, Mary Alice Gary, Elizabeth Kelly, Hattie Calhoun, and Annie Jane Mars; brothers, Frank Harper, James Harper, Charlie Harper, Gill Harper, Sam Harper, and Dock Harper, Jr. and three grandchildren.
Ida leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Brenda Faye Moore (Bobby Joe) of McCormick, SC; sons, Albert Bishop (Jan) of Greenwood, SC and Mitchell Cunningham of McCormick, SC, 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
