James Jimmie Chalmers Obituary

James “Jimmy” Chalmers was born on March 26, 1945  in Charleston, SC. He was the son of the late Ike Pryor and Frances L. Chalmers.  Jimmy departed this life on May 25, 2024 in Greenwood, SC he was 79 years old.

Jimmy was a member of St. Paul Church of God Holiness in Abbeville, SC where he served in the Young Men Christian League and Sunday School Class #1. He attended JS Wright High School and worked for Brown and Walker Funeral Home and later for Pierce Funeral Home. He was a praying brother that loved his church and family.

Jimmy’s memories will be cherished by his brother, John Fair (Vivian) of Miami Florida, a God-daughter, Christian Inabnet (Kenny) of Irmo, SC,  his cousin and caregiver, Mary Johnson (James) of Abbeville, SC and a host of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
