Mr. James Walter Cunningham,73, of McCormick, SC widower of Alberta Cunningham departed this life on December 17, 2022 at Hospice and Palliative Care Of The Piedmont in Greenwood, SC. He was born in McCormick County, SC on August 30, 1949. He was the son of the late Walter and Bernice Price Cunningham.

James was a member of Cedar Spring Baptist Church in Plum Branch, SC. He attended Mims High School. He worked for the 815 Forest Service for many years and retired as a textile worker from Greenwood Mills.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Searles and two brothers, Joel Cunningham and Harold Cunningham.

James memories will be cherished by his son, Andre Cunningham (Brittany) of Abbeville, SC; four sisters, Shelia Cunningham of Atlanta, GA, Jacqueline Cunningham and Claudine Gary (Ike) of McCormick, SC and Sharon Calliham (John) of Beaumont, TX; a brother, Ronnie Cunningham (Tracy) of Plum Branch, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
