James A Martin

Mr. James Alexander “Trigger” Martin, 51, died at Self Regional Medical Center  in Greenwood, SC on January 07, 2022. He was born in Lincolnton, Georgia on October 17, 1970 to the late Clyde and Hazel Briggs Martin. He attended Holy Springs Baptist Church in McCormick, SC and was a 1989 graduate of McCormick High School. He was the original number 21 on the football team where he did his best work on the football field. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Satterfield Construction Company for the last 23 years.

James leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Connie Martin of the home, two sons, Jermetris Martin of the home and Javoras Martin of Charlotte, NC,  three Daughters, Shardell Martin of Troy, SC, Ja’Mesia Martin of McCormick, SC, and Kelly Martin of the home, three grandchildren, A’laina Brooks, Taeron Martin, and Ja’Quan Martin all of Troy, SC and one godson, Kingston Blair of Plum Branch, SC,  two sisters, Linda F. Wardlaw, and Teresa (David) Young both of McCormick, SC, one brother, Arentha (Christen) Martin of McCormick, SC,  a niece raised in the home, Tangie L. Martin of Greenwood, SC, three aunts; Blance Williams of NY, Themla J. Collar of Augusta, GA, and Rev. Sceleato Rice of MD, his mother-in-Law, Patricia Kelly of McCormick, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved him dearly.

James was preceded in death by his beloved; parents, Clyde and Hazel Martin, two brothers, Terry Martin and Jimmy Martin and three sisters, Glenda (Glen) Searles, Dollie Bernice Anderson, and Hazel F. Green. While we mourn his passing we can rejoice in the knowledge that he is reunited with those he missed dearly.
