James Buddy Parker was born on May 19, 1949 in McCormick County, SC. He was the son of the late  Fred and Helen English Parker. Buddy ended his earthly journey on June 25, 2025. He was 76 years old.

Buddy was a member of Second Damascus Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC. He attended Greenwood County schools. He was a carpenter upholsterer and worked in Textiles before retirement.                             

Buddy’s memories will be cherished by his sons; James Lamont Parker and Tyron Parker both of Hodges, SC, daughter, Angela Parker of Newberry, SC, brother, Larry Parker (Carolina) of Cokesbury, SC; sisters, Emma L. Harling (Rev. Dr. Amos) and Gladys Butler both of Cokesbury, SC, Isabella Joye (Sammie) of Lamar, SC and Frances Norman of Greenwood, SC, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, uncles; James Parker and Cliff Parker both of Indianapolis, IN, aunts,  Viola English and Izola English both of Greenwood, SC, special friend, Annie Payne, best friends; Robert Payne and Ernest McCauley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon  Martin, a brother, Fred Parker Jr, paternal  grandparents, Flim and Cora Parker and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Emma English.
