John Henry “June” Sibert was born August 27, 1938 in Abbeville, SC. He was the son of the late Willie and Sarah Laster Sibert. John departed this life at his home in Greenwood, SC on Friday July 12, 2024. He was 85 years old.
John was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in McCormick, SC . He attended McCormick High School and worked in textiles before retirement. “Our father loved God, his children, family and BB King”.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Duncan and brothers, Moses Sibert, Daniel Sibert and John H. Sibert.
John’s memory will be cherished by his daughter, Dinah Morse (Steven) of Greenwood, SC; sons, James Moore, Christopher Moore and Travis Moore all of Greenwood, SC, Anthony Moore (Chandra) of McCormick, SC and Patrick Marshall of York, SC; a nephew raised in the home, John Willie Sibert of Greenwood, SC; sisters, Mary Sibert of Greenwood, SC and Sally A. Brown of New Jersey, twelve grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
