Johnny Patten

Johnny Patten, husband of Wylene Middleton Patten was born on March 14, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of the late Ethel  Patten and Nathaniel Taylor. Johnny passed on December 2, 2022 at age 81.

Johnny was a member of St. Charlotte Baptist Church in McCormick, SC where he served as assistant pastor, Sunday school teacher and counselor. He served in the U.S. Air Force achieving the rank of Master Sargent. He earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Tampa and worked as a social worker for the State of Florida before his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy and three sisters, Edith, Mary and Alice.

Johnny’s memories will be cherished by his wife, Wylene of the home; his son, Johnny Maurice Patten of Roswell, GA; his brother, Rev. Robert Patten of Augusta, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.
