Joy Victoria Anderson was born on March 20, 1984 in Abbeville, SC. She was the daughter of Roosevelt Anderson of Greenwood, SC and Georgia Lomax of Greenville, SC. Joy departed this life on November 19, 2021 in Greenville, SC at the age of  37.

Joy attended New Hope Baptist Church in McCormick, SC. She was a 2002 graduate of McCormick High School. She was a graduate of Voorhees College, Denmark Technical College and Brown Mackie College. She had a degree in Business Administration and Medical Administration. Joy was a waitress at TGI Friday’s in Greenville, SC.

Joy loved to smile, laugh and help others in spite of her pains. She always made jokes and loved spending time with family and friends.

Joy was preceded in death by her god-brother, Valtrez Lomax

In addition to her parents, Joys memories will be cherished by her uncles; Earl (Lee) Anderson and William (Dean) Anderson both of McCormick, SC and Alexander (Annette) Anderson of Aiken, SC. Her aunts; Ida Jean (Bobby) Black of Darlington, SC, Jessie Barker of Far Rockaway NY, Pastor Doris (Bill) Rucker and Min. Mary Evans both of Greenville, SC and Jeanette Lomax of Atlanta, GA.. and a host of cousins and friends.
