Joyce McDuffie Kelly was born in McCormick County, SC on July 25, 1964. She was the wife of Kent Kelly and daughter of Mae Belle McDuffie and the late Jim Self McDuffie. Joyce’s earthly walk ended on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. She was 61 years old.

Joyce was a member of Zion Chapel AME Church in McCormick, SC. She was a 1983 graduate of McCormick High School and continued her education at Piedmont Technical College. She worked for the Burton Center and as a personal caregiver before retirement. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, crossword puzzles, talking to family and friends and a good laugh.

Joyce’s memories will be cherished by her husband, Kent Kelly of the home, daughter, LaJoy McDuffie of McCormick, SC, sons, Zachary McDuffie (Shakina) of Greenwood, SC and Kendrell Kelly of Atlanta, GA, sisters, Sharon Middleton of Columbia, SC, Sandra McDuffie, of Greenwood, SC, Alice Harrison (Vincent) of McCormick, SC, brother, Michael McDuffie of Greenwood, SC, grandchildren, Blair Brown, Zendaya McDuffie, Zariah Hamilton and Zytavious Rodgers, special sisters, Charlene Brownlee, Lynell Blair and Linda Blair, special friend of the family, Keith McCurry and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her father, Joyce was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary D. McDuffie Jr.
