Kathleen Kelly Morgan Obituary

Kathleen Kelly- Morgan born November 18, 1952 in McCormick South Carolina moved from Purpose to Reward and from Promise to Glory on Wednesday February 15,2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in Spartanburg South Carolina after winning a brief fight with cancer. Kathleen graduated from Mims High in McCormick SC in June of 1972, and married her military husband Otis Morgan later that year. To this union five children were added: Shirley Kelly-Long (Clayton), Tonya Faye Morgan, LaDawn Renea Morgan, LaTasha Shanta Morgan, and Rei Jalon Morgan. They traveled the globe together, he serving his country and she serving the family. Later returning to South Carolina to be near family. Kathleen received the Lord as her Savior at a revival and drew her husband to the Lord as she immersed herself in the work of the Lord. They would later serve and work in the ministry together at The Youth Crusade Center under Pastor Bobby and Rose Childs and then Living Word Tabernacle of Faith under Bishop Bernard Newson, raising their children in the faith. Kathleen served in various capacities throughout her fifty year walk with the Lord always found caring for others and looking out for their well being. What is remembered most is her gentle spirit and loving smile for every situation. She leaves many behind to cherish her memory along with her daughters, her loving grandchildren Desmond Coleman, Adelyia Kearre Morgan, Morgan Zion Long, and Derecco Hill.

The family will gather  at 111 Heddy Rd. in Greenwood each evening from 6:00pm-9:00pm.  and at the home of her brother, Andrew 'Andy" Brown 1218 Colllier St. Plum Branch, SC.
