Kimberly “Kim” Annette Roach was born on a cold and snowing January 6th, 1979 at 1:00 AM at Greenville General Hospital in Greenville, SC. She weighed 6 pounds 6 1\2 ounces and was 21 inches long. Kim was the daughter of the late James Earl Robinson Sr. and a very proud Marsha Lynnette Gilstrap. Kim amazed everyone when she started walking at just 9 months old.
Kim attended Ben Haygoood Elementary School, Pickens Jr. High School, and Pickens High School. While at Pickens Jr. High she enrolled in the rec department where she played basketball and volleyball. Kim also loved horses and starting at age 13 she rode in the Pickens County Rodeo.
As children, her family attended Arial Church of God in Easley, SC. While in attendance, Kim was given the nickname ‘Bur Rabbit’ by Roy and Nancy Thacker. This nickname later changed to Burley.
Kim married Christopher Bagwell in her early twenty’s. She became a mother on May 12th, 2003 when she gave birth to her son Donavon Kane Bagwell. Then on October 25th, 2004 she gave birth to her daughter, Destinee Queenola Bagwell. This changed her life in wonderful ways she never could have imagined. Having children sparked her interest in photography.
Kim and Christopher got divorced around 2010. In 2013 Kim married the love of her life, David Roach. She loved fishing with David and her father in-law, Jimmy Roach. She and David also loved riding motorcycles and visiting friends and family. Kim and David made there home in McCormick, SC where she loved her home and spent countless hours working on home projects.
The week before her unfortunate passing, Kim had the joy of reconnecting with her children and family. She will be missed by her husband, David Roach, children, Donavon Bagwell and Destinee Bagwell, mother, Marsha Gilstrap, brother, James Earl Robinson Jr. and aunt, Kathy Williams
