Kitty Mae Banks

Kitty Mae Banks was born on August 6, 1938 in Mt. Carmel, SC. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Anderson Banks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winton Gillerson. Kitty went to be with the lord  on Monday, April 10, 2022. She was  83 years old.

Kitty was a member of Spring Grove Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel, SC. She was a 1958 graduate of Mims High School and worked in textiles, education and as a seamstress before her retirement.

Kitty’s memories will be cherished by her sons; Vinton (Barbara) Gillerson of Atlanta, GA and Kenneth (Jennifer) Gillerson of Long Island, NY. Her daughters; Marilyn (Donnie) Slation of Long Island, NY and Cheri (Carl) Crawford of Greenwood, SC Her brothers; Henry (Mamie) Banks and Marion Banks both of Mt. Carmel, SC and Arthur (Linda) Banks of Calhoun Falls, SC. Her sisters; Mary Robinson and Martha (Isaac) Turman both of  Mt. Carmel, SC. Her  goddaughter, Bridgette Banks of McCormick, SC. Eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by four brothers; Robert Banks Jr., John Thomas Banks, James Monroe Banks and Roosevelt Banks.
