Marian Hazel Baldwin, of Mt. Carmel, SC, departed this life on August 27, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born in Mt. Carmel on April 29, 1944, to the late Johnnie E. McDuffie and Rosetta Anderson McDuffie.

Marian was a 1965 graduate of Mims High School in McCormick, SC. She worked in the textile industry until her retirement. A devoted member of Harper’s Chapel Church of God Holiness, Marian faithfully served through the church auxiliaries. She was also a dedicated member of the Mims High School Reunion Foundation for the Class of 1965. Marian enjoyed helping others, spending her time gardening, dancing, and, most of all, being with her family.

Marian’s memory will be lovingly cherished by her daughter, Tracy A. Baldwin-Shaw (Mitchel) of the home; her son, Mark A. Baldwin of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren, Treshawn M. Baldwin of the home and Markeydes A. Nelson (Cynthia) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and two great-grandchildren, Niko Nelson and Novie Nelson. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary B. Britt of Spartanburg, SC and Adell M. Galloway of Greenwood, SC; a special niece, Gloria Rantin; a special nephew, Floyd McDuffie; a special friend, Lawrence Sneed; and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Baldwin Jr., her granddaughter, Ashante N. Baldwin; four sisters, Daisy Hester and Betty Fletcher, Timmie Hardy and Geraldine McDuffie; five brothers, John Archie McDuffie, Joel McDuffie, Jim McDuffie, George Lewis McDuffie and Willie McDuffie.
