Mary Ann Banks Robinson was born on April 29, 1948 in Mt. Carmel, SC. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Anderson Banks. She was the widow of John Henry Robinson. Mary went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was 76 years old.

Mary was a member of Pleasant Rock AME Church in Mt. Carmel, SC. She was a 1966 graduate of Mims High School and received her CNA Certification from Piedmont Technical College. She worked in textiles and as a CNA before her health declined.

Mary’s memories will be cherished by her daughters, Bridgett Blair and Dayatra Robinson both of Mt. Carmel, SC, two brothers, Henry Banks(Mamie) of Mt. Carmel, SC and Arthur Banks(Linda) of Calhoun Falls, SC, sister, Martha Turman(Isaac) of  Mt. Carmel, SC, granddaughter, Dayleshia Robinson of Greenwood, SC, great-granddaughter, Madison Banks of McCormick, SC, three great-grandsons, Hakeim Banks and Dakaria Elmore both of Calhoun Falls, SC and De’Kenyan Farrow of Greenwood, SC, goddaughter, Rozalynn Goodwin(Michael) of Columbia, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a son, John Aaron Robinson, six brothers, Robert Banks Jr,. John Thomas Banks, James Monroe Banks, Rosevelt Banks Marion Banks and Clarence “Tookie” Hill, a sister, Kitty Banks and a grandson, Steven Banks.
