Rev. Carolyn Yeldell Williams was born on December 9, 1953 in McCormick County, SC. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Williams and daughter of the late Katherine Yeldell Hammond. She made her heavenly departure on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was 71 years old.
Rev. Carolyn attended McCormick County Schools and received her GED. She worked for Greenwood Mills Mathew Plant for 32 years as a Winder Tender. She enjoyed reading and planting her beautiful flowers. At an early age she joined Zion Chapel AME Church in McCormick, SC where she served faithfully as Sunday School Superintendent and Head Usher. Later she joined Full Gospel NonDenominational Church and Teaching Center in Augusta, GA where she served faithfully as Head Usher. She was licensed and ordained as a reverend of the gospel under the leadership of Apostle Terrie D. Green.
In addition to her husband and mother Rev. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers; William Hammond, Larry Hammond and Isaiah Hammond and her sister-in-love, Beatrice Parker.
Rev. Carolyn leaves to cherish her precious memories her beloved daughters, Rev. Kiya Wilridge of the home and Alfreda Dowdy (Dyshuntrae) of Woodruff, SC, bonus daughter, Tara Adams (Lorenzo) of Greenwood, SC, bonus son, Brian Murray of Greenwood, SC, a sister, Minnie Danforth (Don) of McCormick, SC; three brothers; Eugene Yeldell (Rhonda) of McCormick, SC, James Yeldell (Beatrice) of Greenwood, SC and Gerald Hammond of Plum Branch, SC; two aunts; Louise Yeldell and Janie Lou Yeldell both of Plum Branch, SC, sisters-in-love, Rev. Janie Johnson (William) of Greenwood, SC, Mary Jones( Leonard) of Parksville, SC and Anna Dorn (Floyd) of McCormick, SC; six grandchildren; Emmanuel, Eternity, Rodriquis, Tovorius, Brianna and Brytavious and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
