Robert James Middleton, husband of Susie Pullin Middleton was born in Greenwood, SC on April 9, 1941. He was the son of the late King and Martha Calhoun Ferguson. Robert departed this life on November 18, 2022 at his home in McCormick, SC. He was 81 years old.

Robert was a member of Glovers Chapel Baptist Church in Troy, SC. He attended McCormick County Schools and worked as a truck driver for the South Carolina  Department of Transportation before his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Lee Ferguson, James Ferguson and Cleve Ferguson and three sisters, Chaney Ruth Ferguson, Zena Ferguson and Betsy Ferguson.

Robert’s memories will be cherished by his wife, Susie Pullin Middleton of the home; three sons, Brad Middleton of Troy, SC, Karlton (Kyafa) Middleton of Greenwood, SC and Wayne King of Lincolnton, GA; two daughters, Cynthia Middleton Wade of Greenwood, SC and Rena Middleton King of Lincolnton, GA; three sisters, Maglou Ferguson of Anderson, SC Ruth Devlin of Greenwood, SC and Betty Tucker of Abbeville, SC; nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends
