Sarah Nell Brunson Mosley was born in Greenwood County, SC on May 11, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Annie Mae Wiggleton Brunson and widow of Herbert Mosley. Sarah departed this life on September 17, 2025 in Greenwood, SC. She was 88 years old. She was the last of her siblings.

Sarah joined Mt. Pisagh Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and Gospel Course. She later became a member of Pine Grove AME Church in Plum Branch, SC where she was a member of the Gospel Choir. She also sang with John’s Creek Baptist Church and The Singing Angles. She was a lady of strong faith. She loved singing praises to God and sharing her faith. Her favorite saying was “ I don't believe He’s brought me this far to leave me”.

Sarah graduated from Brewer High School in Greenwood, SC and worked as a dry-cleaning press operator for over forty years. She loved spending time with her family; eating sweet potato pies; going for rides around town and making her own clothes.

Sarah’s memories will be cherished by her daughter, Regina Jackson of Greenwood, SC, a niece, Minnie Phelps of Greenwood, SC, granddaughters, Ashley C. Jackson, Shaniqua Ditissua Wright and Tiffany Wideman; great-grandson, Demarious Day and a host of other grandchildren other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sarah was preceded in death by a stepdaughter raised in the home, Elizabeth Diane Nicholson; four sisters, Edith Jackson, Mozelle Brunson, Mary Francis Edwards and Annie Ruth Brunson, and three brothers, Cleveland Brunson, Andrew Pickens Brunson and James Benjamin Brunson.
