Terita Michelle Brown

Terita Michelle Brown was born on December 31, 1994 in Greenwood, SC to Dexter Brown and Bertha Lisa Whitfield. She departed this life on July 27, 2021 in McCormick, SC Terita was a member of Tranquil AME Church, where she was a member of the Youth Choir. She was a 2013 graduate of McCormick High School where she was a standout basketball player and a member of the JROTC Program. Terita was a former corrections officer and employed at Burger King in McCormick, SC. She was known as ‘the life of the party’. She loved basketball, dancing and hanging out with family and friends. Terita was preceded in death by her grandfather, Edward Gilchrist. She leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Dexter Brown of Greenville, SC. her mother, Bertha Lisa Whitfield and step-father Rob Whitfield of Plum Branch, SC, three sisters: LaCourtney Moss, Alexandria Moore and Shakevia Roberts all of McCormick, SC two brothers, Jeremiah Williams of McCormick, SC and Demond Brown of Greenwood, SC maternal grandmother, Emma Gilchrist, paternal grandparents, Amanda Wardlaw, Grady Perrin, Joe and Mary Gilchrist, a special nephew, Drayden Ethridge and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
