Ms. Thelma Mae Callaham Brown was born on January 5, 1954 to Lizzie P Coleman of Greenwood, SC and the late John Whitt Callaham Sr. She was the widow of Henry David Nicholson. Thelma departed this life on April 17, 2024 in Greenwood, SC. She was 70 years old.
Thelma was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in McCormick, SC. She graduated from McCormick Public Schools. Thelma had a passion for cooking and nurturing most of McCormick County as a chef throughout her life. She was great at cooking. She could make bark off a tree taste good. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her husband the late Henry David Nicholson. She and David were inseparable. She has longed to be with him again.
In addition to her husband and father Thelma was preceded in death by a grandson, Jachai Cunningham.
Thelma’s memories will be cherished by her mother; Lizzie P. Coleman of Greenwood SC, three daughters; Lashun Brown (Darrell) of Greenville, SC, Acquanda Barcliff (James) of Greenwood, SC, and Lathel Cunningham (Keith) of Simpsonville, SC; two sons, Raymond Brown Jr (Sharon) of Memphis, TN, Anthony Brown (Sana) of Simpsonville, SC; five brothers; James Callaham (Bessie) of Charlotte, NC, Eugene Callaham (Helen) of Chattanooga, TN, John Callaham (Sharon) of Beaumont, TX, Freddie Callaham (Gwendolyn) of Greenwood, SC, and Anthony Coleman of Greenwood, SC; special uncles; Jake McDuffie of Louisiana and Jas Morris of Greenwood, SC; one granddaughter of the home, Shalaeya L. Berry; Thirteen grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
