Tony Roosevelt Turman was born on August 30, 1961 in McCormick, SC to Theodore Roosevelt and Viola Moss Turman. He departed this life on August 12, 2022 in Hilton Head Island, SC. He was 60 years old.

Tony was a member of Springfield Green Olive AME Church in Willington, SC. He graduated from McCormick High School and worked in security.

Tony’s memories will be cherished by his sons; Nahum (Aliajah Towler) Turman of McCormick, SC and Chasady Turman of Hilton Head Island, SC.  His daughter, Tchenavia Kelly of Martinez GA. His Brother, Tommy (Eunice) Turman of Calhoun Falls, SC. His sisters; Thelma Middleton of Rock Hill, SC, Teresa (Ulysses) Norman, Therla (James) Settles, Tiny Adams and Tammie (Conroy) Johnson all of Willington, SC. Tracy Turman of Hilton Head Island, SC and Tekoshia Turman of Greenwood, SC. His special friend Carol Hardy of Hilton Head Island, SC, nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
