Mrs. Vernestine Cornelia Searles Wideman, was born in McCormick, SC on February  4, 1928. She departed this life Tuesday January 12, 2021 at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Amy Freeman Searles . She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Wideman

Mrs. Vernestine Searles Wideman was a member of Springfield AME church in McCormick, SC. She attended schools in McCormick, SC  and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Vernestine Searles Wideman is survived by her son, Everette Searles of McCormick, SC, her daughter, Alberta Wideman of Greenwood, SC, her  sister, Johnnie Mae Hardy of McCormick, SC, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren
