Willie Rayford Freeman was born in McCormick, SC on March 22, 1950 to the late James Talmadge and Sarah Permelia Freeman. He was the husband of Rosa Lee Stevens Freeman. On June 16, 2021 he received his Heavenly wings at age 71.
Rayford was a member of Shiloh AME Church, where he was active in many auxiliaries: Trustee Board, Usher Board, Men’s Club, Praise Ensemble Choir, Shiloh Mass Choir and Kitchen Committee. He was also a member of the Sons of Allen Choir and Sons of Aide#30.
Rayford retired from Greenwood Mills Chalmers Plant as a maintenance worker.
Rayford was preceded in death by five siblings: Curtis Patterson, James Phillip Freeman, Sandra Milton, Roberta Patterson and Eric Patterson.
Rayford leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife: Rosa of the home. His daughter: Lanelle (Stephon) Wynn of Anderson, SC. His son: Rayford (Sabrina) Freeman of McCormick, SC. Six sisters: Bonnie Strickland of Chicago, Ill; Ojetta (John) Bland, Lue Della (Robert) Stidom, Janice (James) Sibert of McCormick, SC. Effie (John) Hill of Promised Land, SC and Marie (James) Williams of Boston, MA. One brother: Charles (Olivette) Freeman of Snellville, GA. Three grandchildren: Stephon Wynn Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL; Ryan Wynn and Tamerah Wynn of Anderson, SC.
