Willie Williams, Sr. was born on September27, 1941 in McCormick County, SC. He was the husband of Ethel Mae Williams and son of the late Clyde and Josie Hill Williams. Willie passed on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Greenwood, SC. He was 83 years old.

Willie was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Plum Branch, SC. He attended McCormick County Schools and worked in medical supplies before retirement. He loved gardening, fishing and raising hogs. He was well known for his hash and sausage.   

In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Williams and Floyd Williams and a sister, Jessie Mae Harris.

Willie’s memories will be cherished by his wife, Ethel Mae Williams of the home; son, Willie Williams, Jr of Florence, SC; stepson’s, Curtis Brown Jr.(Yolanda) of Columbia, SC and Willie Brown (Tamika) of Virginia Beach, VA; daughters, Rose Mary Williams, Shirley Williams and Lisa Williams Byrd (Montray) all of Florence, SC; stepdaughters, Ethel Brown Freeman of McCormick, SC and Lisa Morgan (Bennie) of Greenwood, SC; brothers, Arthur Williams, Sr., Joe C. Williams (Faye), Thomas Williams (DaVonna),Marion Williams, Marvin Williams (Judy), Henry Williams (Amy Sue) and Eugene Williams (Dorothy);brother-in-law’s, Edward Martin of Camp Spring, MD, Dewey Martin and Wallace Martin (Yolanda) both of Plum Branch, SC; sister-in-law’s, Edith Isaac of McCormick, SC and Wynonia Young of Baltimore, MD; 18 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives, and friends.
